Abstract
Most metals can be recovered or processed using electrometallurgy. Electrometallurgical processing in aqueous media is an area of growing importance due to a broad range of applications that vary from microelectronics manufacturing to metal recovery and coatings. Understanding the associated fundamentals of electrometallurgical processing provides a foundation for future improvements in such processes. This paper provides an overview of the fundamentals of electrometallurgy in aqueous media.
