Abstract
The cooperation between Cairo University and EgyptAlum has developed over the years from short training courses to research projects. It is considered a successful model of university-industry partnerships. Fostering mathematical models with the accumulated experience of industrialists created a new design of a prebaked cell. This has reflected positively on the educational process and research facilities and topics.
