Average numbers (± S.E.) of P. xylostella larvae parasitized or not parasitized by D. semiclausum, and the P. xylostella mortality at the larval stage. For each replicate, 30 second instar larvae were placed on cabbage, broccoli, and turnip plants and percentages are calculated based on this number. The ‘Parasitized’ bars indicate the percentage of larvae that yielded a D. semiclausum adult or pupa. The ‘not parasitized’ bars indicate larvae that developed into P. xylostella adults or pupae N = 16. Different letters above the bars reveal differences between the plant species (P < 0.05, Bonferroni test, after Kruskal–Wallis test)
