The existence of a liapunov functional for linear delay system

Abstract

The delay system

$$x(t){\text{ }} = {\text{ }}Ax(t){\text{ }} + {\text{ }}Bx(t - r)$$

is considered. The necessary and sufficient conditions of the existence of a kind of Liapunov functional for the system are given.
