Abstract

Two new species of Xenotarsonemus Beer, 1954 (Acari: Heterostigmatina: Tarsonemidae), namely Xenotarsonemus lingua sp. n. and Xenotarsonemus barshai sp. n. are described based on the specimens collected on the leaves of quinine plant, Cinchona officinalis L. (Rubiaceae) from Kalimpong district, West Bengal state, India. A key for world species of Xenotarsonemus is also provided.
