Abstract

A new leafhopper species Phlogotettix unicus sp. n. is described and illustrated from Arunachal Pradesh, Khonsa, India. A morphological variant is also described which has high resemblances to the holotype in the mtCOI gene region. Type material is deposited in the National Pusa Collection (NPC), Division of Entomology, Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India.
