Résumé
Évaluer la sévérité d’une colite est un objectif important pour le clinicien parce que, de cette évaluation, dépendent les stratégies thérapeutiques médicamenteuses et l’opportunité d’un geste de colectomie en urgence pour améliorer à la fois le pronostic et la mortalité des malades souffrant de cette affection. Aucun score clinique ou d’imagerie de référence ne peut être préféré, mais la combinaison des différents critères pronostiques est utile.
Abstract
Assessment of severity of colitis remains an important goal for physicians because both adequate drug strategies and the opportunity to perform emergency colectomies to improve mortality rates and prognosis depend on this assessment. Neither clinical nor imaging score is a gold standard but combined assessment is helpful.
