Résumé

Une approche multidisciplinaire est le garant du respect de la complexité du symptôme douloureux. Cet article présente trois applications de ce concept en Suisse. La Société suisse pour l’étude de la douleur œuvre pour une rencontre des différentes professions autour de la transmission du savoir et de la recherche. Le Réseau douleur des hôpitaux universitaires de Genève (HUG) met l’accent sur la synergie entre diverses professions et entre les services pour améliorer la prise en compte de la douleur au sein de l’institution. Le centre multidisciplinaire de la douleur des HUG propose une évaluation conjointe du patient par des spécialistes.

Abstract

A multidisciplinary approach is advocated to embrace the complexity of chronic pain. This paper gives three examples of the implementation of this approach in Switzerland. The Swiss Association for the Study of Pain promotes the collaboration between all healthcare professionals involved in pain management. The Pain network of Geneva University Hospitals promotes the collaboration between the professionals working in the institution to improve pain assessment and treatment. At the Multidisciplinary Pain center of the Geneva University Hospitals, patients are assessed jointly by different specialists.
