Abstract

The number of obese on the waiting list is increasing. However, the eligibility of obese patients for renal transplantation remains limited mainly due to lower graft and patient survivals associated with a high body mass index. The present update reviews the recent data about the graft outcome in obese recipients and the specific management of obese candidates for renal transplantation.
