Dr. Elvin Beach, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention (JFAP), announced that the JFAP Volume 21 Best Paper is “An Investigation of an Oil Barge Explosion in Corpus Christi, TX” by Erik Mueller, Nancy McAtee, and David Flaherty. The winning article was published in the February 2021 issue of JFAP. The award was presented during the Leadership Awards Luncheon at IMAT 2022 in New Orleans, Louisiana, on September 12, 2022.
The award, in addition to the recognition, includes a plaque and $1000 worth of ASM International products and services. The Best Paper was selected by the Editorial Board of the journal from all papers published in Volume 21.
