Nickel Tungsten Carbide Hardfacing Wire Provides Extreme Wear Resistance

Stoody Company, a leader in the design and manufacture of hardfacing and joining welding electrodes, has announced the release of its 1.6 mm (1/16 in.) 160 DM nickel tungsten carbide hardfacing wire. This cast/macrocrystalline tungsten carbide wire,Stoody 160 DM, offers superior wear resistance, especially in fine particle slurry applications. The evenly dispersed macrocrystalline particles are supported by a tough nickel-silicon-boron matrix. Applications include process pipe I.D. cladding, oil field stabilizers, mill hammers, and various types of earth cutting drill bits.

The 1.6 mm (1/16 in.) diameter wire comes on a 25 lb level layer wound wire basket (part number 11997600). It is also available as a 2.8 mm (7/64 in.) open arc welding wire (part number 11964400) packaged on a 50 lb poly spool.
