Abstract
We recalculated the normal spectral emissivity of liquid Fe and Ni using the correct electrical and thermophysical parameters based on the Drude model. The newly calculated emissivity values of liquid Fe and Ni were lower by 15 to 20 pct when compared with the experimentally determined values within the wavelength range of 780 to 920 nm.
