Abstract

The anatomy and physiology of the wrist are very complex, which is why it is difficult to diagnose a severe wrist sprain, which, if inadequately treated, will result in wrist pain and degenerative arthritis. We propose a clinical algorithm for assessing both scapholunate and lunotriquetral sprains. We also propose a radiological analysis of wrist fractures based on anatomical concepts, so as to avoid missing ligamentous lesions associated with wrist fractures.
