Onkologische Patienten leiden sehr häufig an Depressionen, die nicht nur die Lebensqualität, sondern auch den Heilungsprozess beeinflussen können. Die Therapie begleitender psychischer Probleme kann sich mit unter signifikant auf die Überlebensrate dieser Patienten auswirken. Dieser Beitrag gibt einen Überblick zur Häufigkeit, Pathophysiologie, Diagnostik und medikamentösen Therapie von Depressionen bei onkologischen Patienten.
