Abstract

The incidence of complications in thoracic spine surgery is high. Retrospective reviews underestimate the number of complications in thoracic spine surgery. The main complications are vascular or neurological injuries during pedicular screws placement, during traction and reduction in deformity spine surgery. Anterior access to thoracic spine is a challenging procedure. Thoracoscopic surgery reduce iatrogenic injuries in thoracic spine surgery.
