Abstract
Die Ersetzung von Nutzername und Passwort durch geeignetere Authentifikationsmechanismen ist in naher Zukunft nicht zu erwarten. Daher bleibt die Wahl guter und zugleich erinnerbarer Passwörter eine Herausforderung. Zahlreiche Hilfsmitteln in EC-Karten-Format sollen bei Auswahl und Memorieren eines sicheren Passworts helfen–allerdings sind diese Karten mit nicht zu vernachlässigenden Risiken behaftet, wie der vorliegende Beitrag zeigt.
