Summary
Innovation Transfer and its Dispersion within a School System — framework conditions for a school’s strategic decisions
The yield from pedagogic innovations for the rest of the school system, and particularly for institutional activity, is unsatisfactory. If new developments are not to remain fads and have negligible effects for the rest of the school system, the framework conditions for a successful transfer should be determined — with the individual school seen as the basic unit of activity. This research area will be investigated in this paper on the basis of a sample population of 402 schools of general education, which have been analyzed using path-analyses. The decision for specific innovation objectives during the initiation phase of a school development process is used as focal dimension of the study.
