Zusammenfassung

2014/15 hat die enorme Zahl von Visaanträgen syrischer und jesidischer Flüchtlinge an bestimmten deutschen Auslandsvertretungen die Beschäftigten an die Grenzen ihrer Belastbarkeit geführt. Als Arbeitgeber musste das Auswärtige Amt Beschäftigte bei der Bewältigung außerordentlicher Belastungen unterstützen, um Schaden von ihrer Gesundheit abzuwenden. Deshalb wurde Supervision als Instrument der Personalfürsorge über 18 Monate von 2016–2018 an diesen Auslandsvertretungen implementiert. Der Artikel beschreibt die Ausgangssituation und diskutiert Auswirkungen der Intervention vor ihrem interkulturellen Hintergrund.

Abstract

The enormous increase in 2014/15 in the number of visa applications submitted by Syrian and Yazidi refugees at the visa sections of German missions abroad gave rise to a work situation that stretched staff members to the limit. As an employer, the Federal Foreign Office is making good on its obligation to support its employees in order to prevent damage to their health. Therefore, supervisions as an instrument of employee welfare were implemented at these missions abroad over a period of 18 months from 2016 to 2018. This article describes the initial situation and discusses the effects of the intervention against its intercultural background.
