An introduction to bladder pain syndrome: previously known as interstitial cystitis

Résumé

Ce report fait le point sur les nouveautés dans le domaine du syndrome de la douleur vésicale (SDV)-cystite interstitielle (CI) et met en valeur les connaissances actuelles qui sont nécessaires au clinicien qui prend en charge le diagnostic et le traitement du SDV. Nous espérons ainsi procurer aux équipes médicales une mise au point leur permettant de suivre les nouveautés dans ce domaine.

Abstract

This article concentrates on new developments in the field of bladder pain syndrome-inter stitial cystitis and emphasises the knowledge which is currently necessary for clinicians involved in its diagnosis and treatment. We hope that bringing urological teams up-to-date will enable them to follow further advances in this area.
