Summary
In this paper production efficiency of a semiconductor manufacturing company in Taiwan is analysed and evaluated, based on observed input/output data over three years. For this the authors do not only present the classical self-evaluation of the company’s fabs but also employ the matrix of cross-efficiencies to yield corresponding decision rule based rankings. All these rankings draw a similar picture of the units’s efficiencies as also does a new approach called “maximum fairness”. All results will be interpreted in the light of the company’s real situation. Furthermore the stability of the different rankings will be analysed.
