Abstract
Videos have been used in education for a long time. World War II ushered in a strong need for large scale training and instructional videos became the solution. Even after the war, using videos in education became normal practice. As with all technology use, there were problems and questions about their use in education which influenced researchers to create recommendations for creating and using instructional videos. We continue to see videos impacting education.
