Albert W. Wu, MD, MPH, is Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with appointments in Epidemiology, International Health, Medicine and Surgery. He received BA and MD degrees from Cornell University, and an MPH from UC Berkeley. His research focuses on patient outcomes and quality of care. He was one of the originators of patient-reported outcome assessment in HIV and clinical trials for HIV. He has studied medical errors since 1988, and is currently Senior Advisor to the WHO World Alliance for Patient Safety. He maintains a clinical practice in internal medicine and HIV. He is the son of Ray Wu.
