Chunhai Fan obtained his B.S. and Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry at Nanjing University in 1996 and 2000, respectively. After his postdoctoral research at University of California, Santa Barbara, he became a professor at Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004. He is a fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry and an elected fellow of the International Society of Electrochemistry. He serves as an Associate Editor of ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. His research interest lies in biosensors and bioimaging, DNA nanotechnology and biophotonics.
Xiaohong Fang is a professor in the Key Laboratory of Molecular Nanostructures and Nanotechnology at Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS). She received Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Peking University in 1996. After 5 years research work in University of Waterloo (Canada) and University of Florida (USA), she was recruited to ICCAS in the “Hundred Talents Program” in 2001. She serves as an associate editor of Analytical Chemistry. Her research interest is the development of new bioanalytical methods for the real-time protein detection and biomolecular interaction study at the single molecule level.
