The following papers were presented at the conference “Analytical Approaches to Thomas Aquinas”, which took place on 26th and 27th of May 2012, in Cracow, Poland. The aim of the conference was to present the ways in which Aquinas’ philosophy could be inspiring for modern, 21st century philosophical debates, but also to show how the methods of contemporary philosophical analysis could be applied to Aquinas’ philosophy. Invited speakers were scholars from Czech Republic, Great Britain, Poland and Romania, specialising in Thomas Aquinas thought. In addition to speeches, the workshops led by Dr Sebastian Kołodziejczyk from Jagiellonian University were held.

The event was organized by the Student Philosophical Association at Jagiellonian University and the Polish Province of the Dominican Order. Special thanks should be given to all Philosophy students who actively participated in preparing the event: Grzegorz Gaszczyk, Karol Kleczka, Karol Wilczyński, Andrzej Bułeczka, Jędrzej Grodniewicz, Bartłomiej Czajka and Dominik Jarczewski OP.

Each paper was blind-reviewed by two Polish scholars specialising in the subjects of Medieval Philosophy, Philosophy of Religion and Analytical Philosophy, and by Philosophia.
