Zusammenfassung

In dieser Übersichtsarbeit wird der Einfluss kardiovaskulärer Erkrankungen auf den Gastrointestinaltrakt dargestellt. Insbesondere werden gastrointestinale Symptome der Herzinsuffizienz wie Aszites und kongestive Gastro- bzw. Intestinopathie sowie die Endotoxinhypothese der bakteriellen Translokation besprochen und diskutiert. Mechanismen und Symptome der intestinalen Ischämie sowie der autonomen Dysbalance im Rahmen einer Herzinsuffizienz oder des Schlafapnoesyndroms werden ebenfalls dargestellt. Abschließend wird auf gastrointestinale Nebenwirkungen der medikamentösen Standardtherapie kardiologischer Patienten hingewiesen.

Abstract

In this review the effect of cardiovascular diseases on the gastrointestinal tract and the resulting symptoms are described. In particular the most common gastrointestinal symptoms caused by congestive heart failure are presented. In addition the endotoxin hypothesis, i.e. the effects of translocation of intestinal bacteria on the cardiovascular system is discussed. Different mechanisms of intestinal ischemia and autonomic dysbalance caused by congestive heart failure and sleep apnea syndrome are also presented. Finally, the most common adverse effects of cardiovascular drugs on the gastrointestinal tract are summarized.
