Abstract

For patients presenting with acute dysphagia an aneurysm of the thoracic aorta has to be included in the differential diagnosis, especially for those with risk factors, such as hypertension, connective tissue disorders or advanced arteriosclerosis. A rapid diagnostic using computed tomography must be carried out. We describe the case of a 62-year-old female patient who presented with acute dysphagia and dyspnea in our emergency department.
