Abstract
Symptoms of long-lasting extreme fecal incontinence should always give rise to the suspicion of a tumor. Even when approximately 90% of malignant growths of the anal tract are carcinomas, a differential diagnosis should still be pursued because the therapeutical consequences can be substantially different and case-dependent. The case described here concerns a special form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma which is rare for this anatomic region and the prognosis is more likely to be classified as incurable.
