During research following the submission and acceptance of our report “Isolation and characterization of a novel anthocyanin-promoting MYBA gene family in Citrus”, we found evidence that the water source used to conduct PCR analyses was contaminated by grape-derived DNA. Recently, we found one suspicious band in the amplification of several water-based control samples. When this band was processed and sequenced, it conformed to the known grapevine-derived MybA1 sequence. This cast doubt on the accuracy of our report and we are compelled by the evidence to rectify it.

We regret that erroneous information was entered into the literature base.

Sincerely,
