Abstract

Pd catalyst composited with a conducting polymer of polypyrrole is prepared and investigated as a stable H2 electrooxidation catalyst in an acidic condition. A significant stability enhancement of Pd by compositing electropolymerized polypyrrole can be observed and its mechanistic scheme for the stability is discussed through several electrochemical and physicochemical characterizations on the polypyrrole-composited Pd catalysts.
