Abstract
The dispersion of two fluids in a porous medium is analyzed as a wave process. The wave equations are derived, and for plane wave solutions a wave number versus frequency dispersion relation is obtained. Suitable choices for the saturation dependence of terms in the equations of motion and the dynamic pressure difference equation lead to physical solutions.
