Mathematical Modeling of Electrodialysis Demineralization Using a Stochastic Model

Abstract

A stochastic model is proposed to calculate efficiency indices for the treatment of liquid mixtures by electrodialysis using methods of queuing theory. Electrodialysis demineralization of an ammonium sulfate solution is experimentally studied. Comparison between the experimental and theoretical data confirms the validity of the model.
