Editorial Notes

I am pleased to present this special issue on Software Quality Improvements with Intelligence-based Methods. The special issue consists of selected extended papers from a series of special sessions on software engineering with computational intelligence that were held at the 2003 and 2004 IEEE International Conferences on Tools with Artificial Intelligence. Software engineers need all the help that they can get, and each year we see more relevant applications from artificial intelligence.

I especially want to thank the special issue editors, Marek Reformat and Du Zhang, for their efforts in managing the selection and reviews of these papers. They provide an introduction to the papers
