The article describes a case of non-uniform emersion of the stylobate section of a high-rise building caused by non-routine filling of the excavation pit with storm waters. The results of post-accident monitoring and acoustic sounding of the foundation slab are discussed to register the slab sole detachment from the base surface. The equation of equilibrium of the stylobate section is given, considering the position of the support axis and the uneven distribution of weight load along its length; the condition of emersion of the structure with rotation about the specified axis is presented. Recommendations are given on measures to ensure reliable fixation of the structure in case of repeated emergency filling of the excavation pit.
