Taking Into Account the Soil Depth Inhomogeneity in Calculation of the Piles Settlement

  • SOIL MECHANICS
  • Published:
Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering Aims and scope

The article discusses the issues of taking into account the inhomogeneity of the soil base in the standard calculations of the settlement of pile foundations (single piles and pile groups), in particular, using the base model in the form of an elastic layer underlain by an elastic half-space.
