Experience in the Design and Construction Technologies of Buildings on Gas-Polluted Soil

  • CONSTRUCTION UNDER SPECIAL SOIL CONDITIONS
  • Published:
Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering Aims and scope

The article presents the results of the analysis and assessment of the conditions for the construction of buildings and structures on areas with gas-generating soils at the base. The factors affecting the safety and durability of the protection of objects constructed on such areas from the ingress of soil gases in case of complete or partial removal of gas-generating soils are analyzed. A list of problems that should to be solved to create effective methods and technologies for protecting objects from soil gases is given.
