Standard Basis for Design of Seismically Isolating Foundations in Turkmenistan

  • Earthquake-Resistant Construction
  • Published:
Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering Aims and scope

Basic positions of the Instructions for analysis and design of seismically isolated buildings and structures in regions of Turkmenistan with a seven-point and higher seismicity are discussed. The instructions are based primarily on multilevel design using the design and maximum earthquakes. Particular attention is focused on seismically isolating foundations on soft soils.
