Initial Bearing Capacity of Saturated Bed with Different Coefficients of Pore-Water Pressure

  • Published:
Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering Aims and scope

The problem of the bearing capacity of a bed comprised of slowly consolidating saturated clayey soils is examined. The solution is reduced to standard form. Tables of coefficients of bearing capacity are given for a broad range of angles of internal friction and coefficients of pore-water pressure.
