Results of investigations of difficult-to-access soils, including those on the Moon and other planets, are presented for their natural and artificial analogies. The steps required for this method are outlined. Analysis of results indicates the need for codification of accumulated experience and creation of a program for combined investigations by specialists in the field of soil mechanics and construction materials.
