Stress state in the bed of a vertically loaded flexible rectangular foundation

The possibility of converting from the stress state of a bed under a rectangular foundation to the stress state of a bed under a strip of semi-infinite length is demonstrated. A simpler solution, which defines the stress components under a flexible rectangular foundation, is obtained. These solutions are analyzed.
