Abstract

Results are presented for numerical analysis of the stress-strain state of a permanently frozen soil bed beneath a centrally loaded rigid plate by the finite-element method with allowance for elasto-plastic deformations and crack formation. Results of the analysis are compared with data derived from experimental investigations. An analysis of the stress-strain state of the soil is provided.
