Strengthening of supports for contact systems and overhead transmission lines erected on heaving seasonally thawing soils

  • Published:
Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering Aims and scope

Abstract

Technical solutions are presented for anti-heave installations of contact-system supports in permafrost areas and soils subject to deep seasonal frost. Initial experience with the design and installation of new anti-heave units for reconstruction of the contact system of the Trans- Baikal Railroad is described.
