In the original version of the publication, Figs. 2, 3 and 4 have been included incorrectly and these have been removed with this Correction and the corresponding text have been updated as mentioned below.

Figure 2 has been removed and in Section 3, in paragraph beginning with “The Thai receiver in turn organizes…”, the sentence “This first part of this journey of the antiquities from illicit to licit is shown on Fig. 2 [36, p. 728] below.” has been removed.

Figure 3 has been removed and in Section 3, the first sentence of the paragraph “Cambodia has had more success on…” has been changed to “Cambodia has had more success on the international stage in the recent years [16, p. 168], with its achievements linked to its collaboration with the US.”

Figure 4 has been removed and in Section 4, last paragraph, the sentence beginning, “With its global connections and high level…” has been changed to “With its global connections and high level of organised crime specialising in smuggling [12, pp. 71–72], cultural items can be shipped from Hong Kong to anywhere in the world [54].”

In Section 7, the paragraph beginning with “In the following year the US government…”, the sentence beginning with “The case was delayed several times…” has been changed to “The case was delayed several times [28, p. 259] and ultimately on the 12th of December 2013 a settlement was reached between Cambodia and the Claimants [62, p. 4].”
