Война и Мир в структуре концептуальных метафор раннего периода гибридной войны в Украине (2014–2019): хронотопическая метафорическая модель

War and Peace as part of the metaphorical system at the onset of Hybrid war in Ukraine (2014–2019): spatiotemporal metaphor

Аннотация

Одним из действенных когнитивных инструментов скрытого воздействия на человека является внедрение нарративов и интенций в его подсознание используя единицы псевдотождества, в частности концептуальную метафору.

Настоящее исследование посвящено когнитивно-прагматическому моделированию хронотопической метафоры в составе концептов «Война» и «Мир» в украинском русскоязычном дискурсе периода гибридной войны. На материале публикаций интернет-изданий «Зеркало недели», «Две тысячи», «Вечерние вести» за период 2014–2019 гг. произведен когнитивно-дискурсивный анализ современной хронотопической метафоры. В работе восстановлена образная пространственно-временная парадигма концептов и охарактеризован ее прагматический потенциал. Наряду с этим определено место концептов в кругу бинарных оппозиций «свое-чужое», «верх-низ», «хтоническое-сакральное», перечислены реализованные метафорами нарративы и определены когнитивные векторы осмысления войны и мира в свете российской агрессии против Украины.

Детальное исследование когнитивных метафор из сферы-источника «Время и пространство» как средства концептуализации войны и мира в новостном дискурсе указало на существование в нем хронотопов войны и мира. В данном контексте хронотоп определяется как этноспецифическое, исторически и культурно обусловленное представление о пространственном и темпоральном плане войны и мира, апеллирующее к архаическим представлениям этноса и вербально объективированное речевыми единицами с пространственной и временной семантикой. Установлено, что представление о мире выстраивается на основе представлений о войне, а хронотоп мира связан с милитарным хронотопом, поскольку негативный конец аксиологической шкалы человека всегда длиннее, чем позитивный. Успешное достижение мира предполагает пересечения хтонического пространства войны. Поэтому в работе особое внимание уделено описанию качественных параметров хронотопов войны и мира, а также образных средств их объективации. Результаты исследования демонстрируют мировоззренческие установки, эксплицированные хронотопической метафорой, а также определяют ее роль как эффективного инструмента для воздействия на общественное сознание.

Abstract

The implication of hostile narratives and intentions into the unconscious using pseudo-identity tropes, particularly a conceptual metaphor, is one of the most potent cognitive devices of covert human exposure.

The purpose of this research is coverage of different aspects of the cognitive-pragmatic modelling of the spatiotemporal metaphor of the concepts of “War” and “Peace” in Ukrainian media discourse on hybrid warfare from early 2014 to 2019. Based on materials gathered from the online magazines “Dzerkalo Tyzhnia” (Mirror Weekly), “Vechernie Vesti” (The Evening News), and “Dve Tysyachi” (Two Thousand) a cognitive-discursive study of the present spatiotemporal metaphor was performed. The author restores the concepts’ figurative spatiotemporal paradigms and highlights their implicit meanings. The article describes the mental representations of concepts among the binary “us-them”, “up-down”, and “chthonic-sacred” oppositions, as well as the metaphor-implemented narratives. In the backdrop of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the conceptual domains of war and peace are introduced and discussed.

A detailed investigation of the conceptual source domain “Time and Space” as a means of conceptualizing war and peace in media discourse found the presence of military and peace chronotopes. The chronotope is defined as an ethno-specific, historically and culturally predetermined spatiotemporal image of war and peace that appeals to the earliest (archaic) beliefs of the ethnicity and is verbally objectified by linguistic units with spatiotemporal meaning. The study reveals that the image of peace corresponds to the image of war, and the chronotope of peace corresponds to the military chronotope. It can be explained, to some extent, by the fact that the negative end of an axiological scale is always longer than the positive end.

Furthermore, it has been revealed that obtaining peace necessitates crossing the chthonic space of war. As a result, special emphasis is placed on describing the qualitative dimensions of military and peace chronotopes, as well as identifying the figurative meaning of their objectification. The findings shed light on the speakers’ ideological views and beliefs, as well as the significance of conceptual metaphors as instruments for affecting social consciousness.
