Calculation Procedure for Square Cascades Based on Cross-Section Variation of Partial Fluxes

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

The paper proposes a calculation procedure for square cascades based on cross-sections of partial fluxes. The bees algorithm is used to achieve a constant cross-section for the stage feed flux. The optimization goal is determined as a residual sum of squares of the given stage feed flows calculated through cross-sections of partial fluxes. The paper describes the numerical experiment with germanium tetrafluoride used for multicomponent gas separation of germanium isotopes. It is shown that the proposed calculation procedure can be used to obtain the high concentration of 70Ge and 76Ge isotopes in the square cascade of the stage feed flux.
