A scheme for the formation of subnanosecond bipolar voltage pulses based on the summation of two time-shifted monopolar pulses of positive and negative polarity is proposed. The opposite-polarity monopolar pulses are generated by step recovery diodes, with their start time controlled by fast delay lines. A control circuit for the delay lines is developed, and a circuit design variant for the implementation of a generator of nanosecond bipolar pulses is proposed. The results of measurements of trigger pulses and output UWB voltage pulses are presented.
