Effect of the Parameters of Forging with Various Pressing Axis on the Structure and Mechanical Properties of the Sintered Al–7Fe–38Sn Alloy

The structure and mechanical properties of the sintered Al–7Fe–38Sn composite subjected to plastic pressure treatment have been studied. It has been established that the double pressing of samples with a change in the compression axis at 250–350°C contributes to an increase in their strength and ductility. The improvement of the mechanical properties is due to dispersion of tin interlayers in the matrix and refinement of hard iron aluminides concluded in agglomerates.
