Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

The paper presents fiber-optic displacement sensors used for the stability control system of open pit walls. Fiber-optic sensors are based on single-mode optical fiber. The use of displacement sensors in the control system improves the data accuracy and reliability. The stability control system with a point fiber-optic sensor is designed to ensure safe and constant monitoring of open pits and is recommended for the implementation in mining enterprises in compliance with industrial safety requirements.
