Physical Model of Quasi-Static Deformation of Amorphous Metal Alloys

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

A physical model of quasi-static deformation of amorphous metallic alloys is formulated as a complex multistage relaxation process, which is a time-ordered hierarchical sequence of interrelated structural transitions of the first kind at different spatiotemporal scale levels, which are accompanied by successive elastic-to-inelastic strain energy transformations, followed by the transformation of the inelastic deformation energy into the energy of plastic deformation.
