Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

The paper presents mathematical simulation of localized plastic deformation of metal-intermetallic laminated composites after equal channel angular pressing. Deformation of single-phase intermetallic specimens is compared with deformation of laminated composites with different arrangement of lamellas relative to the compression axis. The deformation curves are suggested for these composites. The proposed three-dimensional model is based on the approach combining the description of the plastic flow by the kinetics of the defect accumulation and continuum mechanics. Numerical modeling is based on the finite element method.
