The superlocalization of plastic deformation in single crystal L12 superlattice alloys subjected to uniaxial compression is studied by a mathematical modeling technique. The effect of the presence and location of stress concentrators in the form of notches made in the lateral faces of the samples on the generation and propagation of superlocalized plastic deformation bands is investigated. Three-dimensional macroscopic deformation models are built for rectangular alloy samples.
